Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mission Eagles (Mission, TX), 54-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rio Grande City upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Rattlers travel to SA Roosevelt (San Antonio, TX) to play the Rough Riders in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 17. The Rough Riders go into the bout with a record of 1-2. SA Roosevelt lost 74-72 in their recent non-league bout against Judson (Converse, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 19. Mission will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
