Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) and the visiting Peninsula Panthers (Rolling Hills Estates, CA), saw Downey's basketball squad wallop Peninsula by a tally of 74-47.

With the victory, Downey improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Aliso Niguel (Aliso Viejo, CA) to play the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Monday, November 22. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Aliso Niguel won 50-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach, CA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Carson Colts (Carson, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 19. Peninsula will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
