Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS) and the host Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS), saw Walnut's basketball squad overcome Alcorn Central by a tally of 49-37.

With the victory, Walnut improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats host North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, November 30. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 1-3. North Pontotoc lost 48-34 in their recent non-league test against Pine Grove (Ripley, MS)

The Bears now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Belmont for a non-league test on Friday, December 3.
