Texas High School Basketball - Veterans Memorial holds off Weslaco East
November 22, 2025: Brownsville, TX 78520 The Veterans Memorial Chargers basketball squad scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Weslaco East Wildcats to 46 in the Chargers non-league win on Saturday.
Next, the Chargers clash with the Corpus Christi Moody Trojans (Corpus Christi, TX) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, November 25. Veterans Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Trojans come into the outing with a 1-5 record after their 64-57 non-league loss to Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX).
The Wildcats (0-5) will now prepare for their game against La Joya (La Joya, TX). The Coyotes go into the non-league game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, La Joya was edged by Johnson (Buda, TX), 67-45, in a non-league game.
