South Carolina High School Basketball - Academic Magnet can't hold off Charleston Math & Science
November 29, 2025: North Charleston, SC 29405 Charleston Math & Science Riptide (Charleston, SC) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball team tip the host Academic Magnet Raptors (North Charleston, SC), 58-54 in a non-league contest.
The Riptide (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Charleston Collegiate (John's Island, SC). The Sundevils go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Charleston Collegiate got by Crown Leadership Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC), 75-20, in a non-league match.
The Raptors now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cathedral Academy for a non-league match on Monday, December 1. Academic Magnet will confront a Generals team coming off a 79-75 non-league win over St. John's Christian Academy (Moncks Corner, SC). The Generals record now stands at 4-2.
