West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Kemper County Wildcats (DeKalb, MS), 53-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Point upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Green Wave host Houston (Houston, MS) to play the Hilltoppers in a non-league bout on Monday, November 8. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Houston won 62-52 in their recent non-league bout against Bruce (Bruce, MS)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Choctaw Central Warriors (Philadelphia, MS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 11. Kemper County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
