Mississippi High School Football - Byers sneaks past Smithville

November 7, 2025: Holly Springs, MS 38635

The Byers Lions football squad scored 21 points and limited the visiting Smithville Seminoles to 20 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leflore County for a non-league test on Friday, November 14. Byers will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 44-8 non-league win over Vardaman (Vardaman, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 8-3.

With the defeat, Smithville drops to 3-8 on the campaign.
