In Friday's non-league game, the Opelika Bulldogs (Opelika, AL) football team edged the visiting Hewitt-Trussville Huskies (Trussville, AL), by a margin of 27-21.

The Bulldogs now sport a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Baker for a non-league outing on Friday, November 14. Opelika will clash with a Hornets squad coming off a 38-14 non-league win over Florence (Florence, AL). The Hornets record now stands at 9-2.

With the defeat, Hewitt-Trussville falls to 8-3 on the season.
