The Hernando Tigers basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Lake Cormorant to 61 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Tigers now have a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Center Hill for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 2. Hernando will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 44-41 non-league win over Power Center Academy (Memphis, TN). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Lake Cormorant falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The travel to South Panola (Batesville, MS) to confront the Tigers in a 6A Region 1 game on Friday, December 5. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 1-4. South Panola lost 63-60 in their recent non-league game against Independence (Independence, MS)
