Washington High School Basketball - Sultan can't hold off Nooksack Valley
December 4, 2024: Everson, WA 98247 Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sultan Turks (Sultan, WA), 40-33 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Nooksack Valley advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Pioneers host Archbishop Murphy (Everett, WA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 10. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 1-1.
The Turks now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Squalicum for a non-league match on Friday, December 6. Sultan will face a Storm squad coming off a 30-27 non-league win over Sehome (Bellingham, WA). The Storm record now stands at 1-0.
