The Alief Taylor Lions (Houston, TX) basketball edged the host Tomball Cougars (Tomball, TX), 52-47 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Magnolia West for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 7. Alief Taylor will play a Mustangs team coming off a 71-33 non-league loss to South Houston (South Houston, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Tomball falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host Klein (Klein, TX) to play the Bearkats in a 6A Region II District 15 bout on Tuesday, December 10.
