The Holly Springs Golden Hawks basketball squad (Holly Springs, NC), was nudged 36-32 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Wake Forest Cougars (Wake Forest, NC)

With the victory, Wake Forest advances its record to 3-1 on the year. The Cougars host Sanderson (Raleigh, NC) to meet the Spartans in a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 10. The Spartans enter the battle with a record of 0-6. Sanderson lost 60-27 in their recent non-league battle against Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC)

The Golden Hawks now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Apex Friendship for a 4A Southeast Wake battle on Tuesday, December 10. Holly Springs will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 52-39 non-league loss to Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 4-1.
