December 10, 2024: Connellsville, PA 15425 Derry Trojans (Derry, PA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Connellsville Falcons (Connellsville, PA), 47-36 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Derry advances its record to 3-2 on the year. The Trojans host East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA) to face the Wild Cats in a WPIAL 4A 3 match on Friday, December 13. The Wild Cats enter the match with a record of 2-0.
The Falcons now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Norwin for a WPIAL 6A 2 match on Friday, December 13. Connellsville will face a Knights squad coming off a 57-42 league loss to Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, PA). The Knights record now stands at 1-2.
