North Carolina High School Basketball - Union succumbs to Midway

December 10, 2025: Rose Hill, NC 28458

The Midway Raiders defeated the host Union Spartans basketball squad by a final score of 45-29 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

Next, the Raiders clash with the Princeton Bulldogs (Princeton, NC) in a Swine Valley 2A/3A bout, on Friday, December 12. Midway will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 49-34 non-league loss to North Johnston (Kenly, NC).

With the loss, Union falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC) to play the Vikings in a Carolina 1A/2A bout on Friday, December 12. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 0-4. West Columbus lost 53-25 in their recent non-league test against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC)
