Texas High School Basketball - La Marque can't hold off Hamshire-Fannett
December 11, 2020: La Marque, TX 77568 The Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host La Marque Cougars to 42 in the Longhorns non-league victory on Friday.
The Longhorns now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Liberty for a 4A Region III District 21 contest on Tuesday, December 15. Hamshire-Fannett will battle a Panthers team coming off a 71-63 non-league win over Woodville (Woodville, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 2-7.
The Cougars (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX). The Titans come into the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Port Arthur Memorial was nudged by King (Houston, TX), 69-45, in a non-league contest.
