Georgia High School Basketball - Beach can't hold off Portal

December 11, 2021: Portal, GA 30450

The Portal Panthers basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Beach Bulldogs to 65 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Panthers now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Treutlen for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 14. Portal will battle a Vikings team coming off a 65-60 league loss to Wheeler County (Alamo, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 2-1.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Southeast Bulloch Yellowjackets (Brooklet, GA) in a AAA Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, December 14. Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 81-70 non-league win over South Effingham (Guyton, GA).
