In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) basketball squad edged the visiting Puckett Wolves (Puckett, MS), by a count of 54-50.

The Hornets (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against North Pike (Summit, MS). The Jaguars go into the non-league outing with a 9-2 record. In their last outing, North Pike was tipped by Bogue Chitto (Bogue Chitto, MS), 54-43, in a non-league outing.
