The Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC), 72-20 in Friday's league bout.

The Mariners now possess a 9-1 record. They play next when they travel to Sugar Creek Charter for a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A bout on Tuesday, December 16. Jackson Day will play a Wildcats team coming off a 80-16 league loss to Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-5.
