Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA), 59-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Gilmer upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Bobcats travel to White County (Cleveland, GA) to play the Warriors in a AAA Region 7 bout on Friday, December 16. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-6. White County won 61-60 in their recent league bout against West Hall (Oakwood, GA)

Next up, the Indians play the Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) in a AAA Region 7 bout, on Friday, December 16. Lumpkin County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 77-61 league loss to Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA).
