Florida High School Basketball - DeSoto County holds off North Port

December 13, 2024: North Port, FL 34291

In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting DeSoto County Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 59-56 triumph over the North Port Bobcats.

The Bulldogs (9-0) will now prepare for their contest against Charlotte (Punta Gorda, FL). The Fightin' Tarpons go into the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Charlotte nipped Fort Myers (Fort Myers, FL), 62-16, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bobcats confront the Southeast Seminoles (Bradenton, FL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 16. North Port will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Seminoles go into the contest with a 1-5 record after their 64-28 non-league win over Bayshore (Bradenton, FL).
