In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Wilmington Wildcats basketball team scored a tight 44-40 triumph over the Dwight Trojans.

In their next game, the Wildcats meet the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) in a Illinois Central 8 match, on Monday, December 19. Wilmington will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Comets enter the match with a 6-7 record after their 42-26 non-league win over Somonauk/Leland (Somonauk, IL).
