Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Fairmont Heights Hornets (Capitol Heights, MD) and the visiting Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights (Washington, DC), saw Fairmont Heights's basketball squad hold off Friendship Collegiate Academy by a tally of 76-69.

With the victory, Fairmont Heights improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Friendly (Fort Washington, MD) to confront the Patriots in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge on Friday, December 16. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Friendly lost 75-20 in their recent league challenge against Gwynn Park (Brandywine, MD)

Next up, the Knights confront the BASIS Red Giants (Washington, DC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 16. Friendship Collegiate Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Red Giants come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 69-46 league loss to E.L. Haynes (Washington, DC).
