December 16, 2021: Kodiak, AK 99615 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Nome-Beltz Nanooks (Nome, AK) and the host Kodiak Bears (Kodiak, AK), saw Nome-Beltz's basketball squad hold off Kodiak by a count of 34-28.
With the victory, Nome-Beltz upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Nanooks host Houston (Big Lake, AK) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 17. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Houston won 57-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Birchwood Christian (Chugiak, AK)
Next up, the Bears play the Bethel Warriors (Bethel, AK) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 22. Kodiak will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
