Georgia High School Basketball - Mitchell County tops Terrell County

December 16, 2022: Camilla, GA 31730

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA) and the visiting Terrell County Greenwave (Dawson, GA), saw Mitchell County's basketball squad knock off Terrell County by a tally of 65-57.

With the victory, Mitchell County improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Miller County (Colquitt, GA) to play the Pirates in a A D2 Region 1B challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Miller County lost 72-12 in their recent league challenge against Early County (Blakely, GA)

Next up, the Greenwave play the Lee County Trojans (Leesburg, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 17. Terrell County will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 64-28 non-league win over Crisp County (Cordele, GA).
