Tennessee High School Basketball - South Pittsburg tops Hixson
December 16, 2023: South Pittsburg, TN 37380 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the South Pittsburg Pirates (South Pittsburg, TN) and the visiting Hixson Wildcats (Hixson, TN), saw South Pittsburg's basketball squad knock off Hixson by a tally of 64-46.
With the victory, South Pittsburg improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Copper Basin (Copperhill, TN) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 18. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 1-6.
Next up, the Wildcats play the Sale Creek Panthers (Sale Creek, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 18. Hixson will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 54-49 non-league loss to Dade County (Trenton, GA).
