Minnesota High School Basketball - Zimmerman thwarts Hibbing
December 16, 2023: Zimmerman, MN 55398 The Zimmerman Thunder (Zimmerman, MN) basketball knocked off the visiting Hibbing Bluejackets (Hibbing, MN), 51-39 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Thunder (2-6) will now prepare for their test against St. Francis (St. Francis, MN). The Fighting Saints go into the AAA Section 5 test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, St. Francis went down by Proctor (Proctor, MN), 74-60, in a non-league test.
The Bluejackets now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bemidji for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 19. Hibbing will encounter a Lumberjacks squad coming off a 36-34 league loss to Sartell-St. Stephen (Sartell, MN). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 4-3.
