December 16, 2024: Downey, CA 90242 Westlake Warriors (Westlake Village, CA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA), 9-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Westlake moves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Newbury Park (Newbury Park, CA) to clash with the Panthers in a test on Wednesday, January 15. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 4-1.
The Warriors now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bell Gardens for a non-league test on Saturday, December 21. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy will clash with a Lancers team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Godinez Fundamental (Santa Ana, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 1-7.
