In Tuesday's league test, the Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS) basketball team edged the visiting Amory Panthers (Amory, MS), by a tally of 48-42.

The Red Raiders now possess a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Marion County for a non-league bout on Monday, December 22. Shannon will play a Red Raiders team coming off a 75-36 league win over Hackleburg (Hackleburg, AL). The Red Raiders record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Amory moves to 5-9 on the season. The Panthers host Hatley (Amory, MS) to meet the Tigers in a non-league battle on Monday, December 29. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 9-5. Hatley lost 69-19 in their recent non-league battle against Harvest Prep (Canal Winchester, OH)
