The Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX) basketball edged the visiting Brenham Cubs (Brenham, TX), 72-65 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Bears now possess a 13-4 record. They play next when they travel to Cypress Park for a non-league bout on Friday, December 19. Montgomery will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 50-42 league loss to Bridgeland (Cypress, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-9.
