Nevada High School Basketball - Pershing County bests Oasis Academy

December 16, 2025: Lovelock, NV 89419

The Pershing County Mustangs basketball team scored 46 points and limited the visiting Oasis Academy Bighorns to 31 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to North Tahoe for a 2A Northern game on Friday, December 19. Pershing County will play a Lakers team coming off a 37-31 non-league loss to Truckee (Truckee, CA). The Lakers record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, Oasis Academy falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Bighorns host Yerington (Yerington, NV) to clash with the Lions in a 2A Northern test on Friday, December 19. The Lions come into the test with a record of 5-3. Yerington won 46-24 in their recent league test against Sierra Lutheran (Carson City, NV)
