Pennsylvania High School Basketball - South Allegheny overwhelms Ligonier Valley
December 17, 2021: McKeesport, PA 15133 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the South Allegheny Gladiators (McKeesport, PA) and the visiting Ligonier Valley Rams (Ligonier, PA), saw South Allegheny's basketball squad wallop Ligonier Valley by a tally of 66-43.
With the victory, South Allegheny improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Gladiators host Valley (New Kensington, PA) to confront the Vikings in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge on Tuesday, December 21. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 0-4.
Next up, the Rams confront the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions (Greensburg, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 18. Ligonier Valley will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Golden Lions come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 88-25 non-league loss to Laurel Highlands (Uniontown, PA).
