Minnesota High School Basketball - Goodhue overwhelms Hayfield
December 17, 2024: Goodhue, MN 55027 The Goodhue Wildcats basketball team scored 88 points and limited the visiting Hayfield Vikings to 47 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now have a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Byron for a non-league game on Friday, December 20. Goodhue will confront a Bears team coming off a 89-78 non-league loss to Cannon Falls (Cannon Falls, MN). The Bears record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Hayfield falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Vikings host Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN) to confront the Knights in a A Section 1 game on Friday, December 20. The Knights go into the game with a record of 3-1. Kenyon-Wanamingo won 67-42 in their recent non-league game against Rochester Math and Science Academy (Rochester, MN)
