The Mica Mountain Thunderbolts (Tucson, AZ) basketball crushed the visiting Rio Rico Hawks (Rio Rico, AZ), 79-43 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Thunderbolts now possess a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Sunnyside for a non-league bout on Thursday, December 19. Mica Mountain will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 60-48 non-league loss to Cholla (Tucson, AZ). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Rio Rico falls to 0-11 on the campaign. The Hawks host Santa Rita (Tucson, AZ) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 18. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Santa Rita won 65-35 in their recent non-league bout against St. John Paul II Catholic (Avondale, AZ)
