December 18, 2024: Ambridge, PA 15003 Ambridge Bridgers (Ambridge, PA) supporters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA), 30-21 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Ambridge advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Bridgers travel to Beaver (Beaver, PA) to face the Bobcats in a WPIAL 4A 2 match on Thursday, December 19. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 3-1. Beaver lost 59-44 in their recent league match against Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, PA)
The Lions now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ellwood City for a WPIAL 3A 1 match on Thursday, December 19. New Brighton will face a Wolverine squad coming off a 54-50 league loss to Riverside (Ellwood City, PA). The Wolverine record now stands at 3-3.
