In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Granada Hills Charter Highlanders basketball team scored a big 98-29 triumph over the Sylmar Spartans.

The Highlanders (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Canyon (Canyon Country, CA). The Cowboys go into the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Canyon was trounced by Golden Valley (Santa Clarita, CA), 60-52, in a league contest.
