Texas High School Basketball - Skidmore-Tynan can't hold off Pettus

Pettus Eagles (Pettus, TX) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats (Skidmore, TX), 51-50 in a league contest.

The Eagles (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Nixon-Smiley (Nixon, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 3-17 record. In their last contest, Nixon-Smiley nipped D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX), 26-21, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Groesbeck Goats (Groesbeck, TX) in a non-league match, on Monday, December 29. Skidmore-Tynan will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Goats enter the match with a 9-9 record after their 74-30 league loss to Fairfield (Fairfield, TX).
