The Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles to 50 in the Lions non-league victory on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bell for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13.

The Eagles (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Field (Washington, DC). The Falcons come into the Potomac Valley contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Field was nudged by Burke (Washington, DC), 37-30, in a league contest.
