Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Punxsutawney tops Maplewood
December 2, 2022: Guys Mills, PA 16327 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Punxsutawney Chucks (Punxsutawney, PA) and the host Maplewood Tigers (Guys Mills, PA), saw Punxsutawney's basketball squad knock off Maplewood by a tally of 58-41.
With the victory, Punxsutawney improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Chucks host United (Armagh, PA) to encounter the Lions in a non-league test on Tuesday, December 6. The Lions go into the test with a record of 0-0.
The Tigers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Keystone for a non-league test on Saturday, December 3. Maplewood will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 48-14 non-league loss to Warren (Warren, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
