Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), 62-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Homestead upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Independence (San Jose, CA) to play the 76ers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 21. The 76ers come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Independence won 56-49 in their recent non-league bout against Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA)
