In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs basketball team scored a good 63-55 win over the Goldsboro Cougars.

The Bulldogs (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC). The Titans come into the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Heide Trask was topped by Whiteville (Whiteville, NC), 60-57, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 4. Goldsboro will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 90-49 non-league win over Perquimans (Hertford, NC).
