Northwest Vikings (Grand Island, NE) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, NE), 61-15 in a league match.

With the victory, Northwest advances its record to 3-2 on the year. The Vikings travel to Aurora (Aurora, NE) to face the Huskies in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 2-2. Aurora lost 39-31 in their recent non-league match against Beatrice (Beatrice, NE)

The Minutemen now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Schuyler for a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. Lexington will face a Warriors squad coming off a 49-45 non-league win over Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE). The Warriors record now stands at 4-1.
