The Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) basketball were winner over the host Sammamish RedHawks (Bellevue, WA), 62-48 in Saturday's league bout.

The Islanders now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Juanita for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 23. Mercer Island will encounter a Ravens squad coming off a 42-34 league loss to Skyline (Sammamish, WA). The Ravens record now stands at 2-4.

The RedHawks (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Shadow Hills (Indio, CA). The Knights come into the non-league test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Shadow Hills beat Xavier Prep (Palm Desert, CA), 57-39, in a league bout.
