The Pelham Panthers (Pelham, AL) basketball knocked off the host Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS), 45-37 in Saturday's non-league test.

Next, the Panthers encounter the Saint James Trojans (Montgomery, AL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 3. Pelham will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record.

The Cougars (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Pearl (Pearl, MS). The Pirates come into the 7A Region 3 test with a 9-6 record.
