Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars (Murfreesboro, TN) and the host Lipscomb Academy Mustangs (Nashville, TN), saw Middle Tennessee Christian's basketball squad hold off Lipscomb Academy by a count of 51-44.

With the victory, Middle Tennessee Christian upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Franklin Road Academy (Nashville, TN) to play the Panthers in a Division II-A Middle District 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Franklin Road Academy lost 44-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Donelson Christian Academy (Nashville, TN)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Pope John Paul II Knights (Hendersonville, TN) in a Division II-AA Middle challenge, on Tuesday, January 3.
