Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Kennedy Cougars (Sacramento, CA) and the host Sheldon Huskies (Sacramento, CA), saw Kennedy's basketball squad hold off Sheldon by a tally of 50-48.

With the victory, Kennedy improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Bear River (Grass Valley, CA) to confront the Bruins in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Bear River lost 57-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Vista del Lago (Folsom, CA)

Next up, the Huskies confront the St. Francis Troubadours (Sacramento, CA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Sheldon will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Troubadours come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 64-13 non-league win over Rocklin (Rocklin, CA).
