The Ventura Cougars basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Verdugo Hills Dons to 35 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.

The Cougars now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Santa Barbara for a Channel contest on Thursday, January 5. Ventura will meet a Dons team coming off a 49-21 non-league loss to Dos Pueblos (Goleta, CA). The Dons record now stands at 1-12.

The Dons (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Kennedy (Granada Hills, CA). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 3-10 record. In their last contest, Kennedy triumphed over Newbury Park (Newbury Park, CA), 40-32, in a non-league contest.
