Mississippi High School Basketball - Nanih Waiya ripped by Morton
December 27, 2023: Louisville, MS 39339 The Morton Panthers basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Nanih Waiya Warriors to 38 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Panthers now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Neshoba Central for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Morton will meet a Rockets team coming off a 87-79 league loss to Columbus (Columbus, MS). The Rockets record now stands at 9-6.
The Warriors (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lamar (Meridian, MS). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Lamar was routed by Starkville Academy (Starkville, MS), 49-37, in a non-league contest.
