The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cary Imps (Cary, NC) and the host Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC), observed Cary's basketball team knock off Ashley by a score of 74-54.

The Imps (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, Hoggard prevailed over Franklin Academy (Wake Forest, NC), 69-49, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Screaming Eagle encounter the Pine Lake Prep Pride (Mooresville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 28. Ashley will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Pride come into the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 81-59 non-league win over Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC).
