The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Bloomington South Panthers (Bloomington, IN) and the visiting Muncie Central Bearcats (Muncie, IN), observed Bloomington South's basketball team edge Muncie Central by a score of 60-58.

The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Centerville (Centerville, IN). The Bulldogs enter the non-league battle with a 6-0 record. In their last battle, Centerville tipped Knightstown (Knightstown, IN), 78-40, in a league battle.

The Bearcats now own a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jay County for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 3. Muncie Central will battle a Patriots team coming off a 60-55 non-league win over Wapahani (Selma, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 5-2.
