Florida High School Basketball - Lakewood Ranch fells Phoenix Academy

The Lakewood Ranch Mustangs basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Phoenix Academy Firebirds to 41 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now possess a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Bell Creek Academy for a non-league game on Monday, December 29. Lakewood Ranch will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 44-38 non-league loss to Armwood (Seffner, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 7-4.

The Firebirds (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Jordan Christian Prep (Auburndale, FL). The Seahawks come into the non-league test with a 3-9 record. In their last test, Jordan Christian Prep went down by Boca Raton (Boca Raton, FL), 55-45, in a non-league test.
